CSA

 FAQ:

WHAT IS A CSA?

CSA (community supported agriculture) is a concept which essentially involves a community of people investing an agreed sum of money before a growing season.

This allows the farmer to invest in equipment, seeds, staffing etc to produce food for the community and all produce is shared between participants based on their investment.

For example 20 households get together and say ‘Hey Jackson, grow our food for us and we’ll support you to do that’.

The outcome, is a small scale, sustainable, community driven food system delivering fresh, nutritious, chemical free, health optimal produce conveniently.

WHAT IS MY COMMITMENT?

You must agree to opt in for 12 weeks when you put your name down. After this time your spot will remain and subscription will automatically renew.

If you do not wish to renew your subscription, please get in contact to me, prior to the end date, so I have adequate time to replace you.

I understand that for many people, buying multiple months of groceries in advance just isn't an option they can afford, so I have broken down payments into weekly instalments.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

All veg will be harvested and delivered to you as quickly and fresh as possible, and will include a newsletter with farm updates, pictures, and tips!

Deliveries are dropped by your door every Tuesday mornings before 9.00am.

DO YOU CATER TO DIETARIES?

We can only cater to allergies. If you have a food allergy, let us know and we will make sure to leave it out.

Unfortunately as nature is in control, we can not cater to preferences.

If you receive something in your box you do not eat, we encourage you to give it to a family member or neighbour!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE BOX?

All sorts! We grow a large range of produce and pick it as its ready! We also buy in produce occasionally from other local organic growers that me may not grow ourselves (like potatos!)

(While our farm is not certified organic, we are dedicated to only using organic principles on our land. Any produce brought in from other local farms will certified organic.)

This means that you eat to your local seasons, which can be a shock to many who are used to the supermarket chains availability!

In Summer you’ll eat a lot of tomato’s, and in Winter none! We believe eating this way give you a greater appreciation of an ingredient when it is available, also they taste a lot better grown in their season!

Thank you to all members, present and future, for supporting the early days of a small, community driven food system.
